Is this physical road tax sticker compulsory?
Yes, physical road tax stickers remain compulsory for commercial vehicles in Malaysia, including goods vehicles and public service vehicles, as they are not yet covered under the digital exemption.
For Malaysian-owned private vehicles, physical road tax stickers are no longer compulsory. You may use the digital road tax (e-LKM) via the MyJPJ app, although you may still choose to receive a physical sticker if preferred. Enforcement officers can verify road tax status digitally. This change has been in effect since February 2023.
