What is the meaning of Kaffarah?
Kaffarah is a penalty or expiation that is made obligatory upon a person who violates certain rulings in Islamic law, such as deliberately breaking a fast, violating an oath, or committing zihar.
Reference from the Qur’an: "That is the expiation for your oaths when you have sworn and then broken them." (Surah Al-Ma’idah: 89)
