What assurance can be given that the endowed money will be distributed to eligible recipients?
All endowed funds will be transferred to MAIWP (Federal
Territory Islamic Religious Council) and distributed for both General Waqf and
Specific Waqf purposes as intended by the donor. The Zakat Collection Centre
(PPZ) and MAIWP will undergo audits by the Internal Audit Department and the
National Audit Department (JAN) to ensure transparency in Waqf management.
Simultaneously, according to the principles of Islamic
jurisprudence, "the conditions of the donor are part of Shariah
texts," meaning that those responsible for managing the endowment—whether
at the level of Nazir (trustee), Mutawalli (manager), or Qayyim (agent)—must
adhere to the donor's wishes in handling the endowed assets.
